Frequently asked questions
What is pediatric occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy (OT) helps children develop the skills they use every day — moving and coordinating their bodies, using their hands, managing sensory input, and looking after themselves. An occupational therapist assesses each child and builds a plan around their goals.
How do I know if my child might benefit from OT?
If your child finds everyday tasks difficult — such as handwriting, coordination, dressing, or coping with certain sounds, textures or movement — an assessment can help you understand what support would help.
Do you offer in-person and virtual sessions?
Yes. We provide in-person OT at our Brampton clinic and live virtual sessions for families across Mississauga and the Peel Region.
Is OT covered by insurance or funding?
Many extended health plans include occupational therapy, and some families use Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding. We’re happy to walk you through the options on a call.
