Kick Start Therapy is a Speech and language therapy clinic for pediatric population. Kick Start therapy Inc. has an immediate requirement for the position of intake coordinator

The CDA/ ideal Intake Coordinator will represent Kick Start Therapy while speaking with prospective clients who seek our services. We put our patients first, engage with purpose to find the right solutions, always go the extra mile, and ensure that the end-to-end patient experience is positive and seamless. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide communication therapy to pediatric clients using defined goals by Speech therapist
  • Point of contact for resource navigation to the parents/ caregiver for Autism services
  • Be the first point of contact for our clients
  • Schedule clients’ appointments with the clinical staff based on their schedule
  • Handle complete client journey cycle: schedule, follow-up, cancel and reschedule appointments for existing clients.
  • Ensure that the new clients have completed intake forms and have valid credit card on file
  • Onboard new therapists and provide necessary training
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary therapist team for administrative support.
  • Connecting and collaborating with community agencies
  • Skill Requirements:

  • Must have excellent organizational and people skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Desire and ability to take on new and added responsibilities, take initiatives.
  • Proficient in MS office tools/ cloud-based platform (e.g Good work space, MS One drive)
  • Education: Diploma in Communication Disorder Assistance or relevant experience

    Kick Start therapy Inc has immediate requirement for a Instructor Therapist (IT). The IT is part of the multidisciplinary team to support pediatric clients. We provide therapy at our center and in-home based on client preference.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying client-specific Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming and teaching procedures with autism or other related developmental disabilities in one-on-one and/or in a group setting with clients.
  • Delivering direct service in clinic or home-based and community-based settings.
  • Recording and graphing data.
  • Documenting progress through detailed notes.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Any other related administration duties as assigned by the Senior Therapist.
  • Skill Requirements:

  • Experience applying ABA teaching strategies directly with children and adolescents with autism, learning disabilities and related disorders
  • Recent Police Check / Vulnerable Sector Screening (not older than 6 months)
  • Registered Behaviour Therapist technician certification is an asset
  • Multilingual is an advantage
  • Valid Driver licence
  • Education:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or working towards RBT certification is preferred
  • A degree in psychology or related field or a diploma in a behavior science program (such as Behavioral Science Technology Diploma, Autism Behavioral Science Certificate, Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree)

    Kick Start therapy Inc has immediate requirement for Full time BCBA position. The BCBA is part of the multidisciplinary team to support pediatric clients. We provide therapy at our center and in-home based on client preference.

    Key Responsibilities: The Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst “BCBA” creates and supervises individualized programming and behaviour reduction plans for children/youth with autism based upon the principles of Applied Behavioural Analysis. The BCBA will help to build capacity to Autism Therapists by implementing and supporting best practices, ethical decision making and providing consultation and expertise in the area of ABA practices and instructional methods within a variety of contexts. Provides clinical supervision and mentorship for Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) candidates, as appropriate.

    Skill Requirements:

  • Designing a treatment plan using evidence-based information, relevant best practice guidelines, and clinical expertise.
  • Actively engaging clients, families, caregivers, and therapists to address client-centered goals.
  • Actively engaging in client/family and therapist coaching
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention, client's response, and progress towards achieving goals.
  • Providing evidence-based assessment and intervention
  • Education: Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification required.

    Experience: Preferred: Minimum 2 years providing ABA therapy to children/youth with ASD with at least 1 year’s clinical experience in assessment, treatment planning and monitoring, consultation, and parent training. Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups as a team and experience in providing staff training and consultation.

    Kick Start therapy Inc has immediate requirement for a licenced Speech Language Pathologist. The Speech Language Pathologist is part of the multidisciplinary team to support pediatric clients. We provide therapy at our center and in-home based on client preference.

    Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform speech and language assessments to pediatric clients
  • Use Internal/ external resources to develop individual treatment plan
  • Must be empathize with clients in any situation
  • Work with child and parents/ caregiver
  • Provide training to parents/ caregiver
  • Participate in continuous improvement process to bring efficiency in the client management and administration
  • All other task as assign
  • Skill Requirements:

  • Team player and ability to work with other professionals
  • Ability to work with pediatric clients (0-18 years age group)
  • Valid Driver licence
  • Liability insurance and professional misconduct insurance
  • Must possess sound judgement, honesty and integrity when working with clients
  • Able to conduct assessments, create client profiles, and able to keep confidential information
  • Experience: Preferred: Minimum 2 years providing ABA therapy to children/youth with ASD with at least 1 year’s clinical experience in assessment, treatment planning and monitoring, consultation, and parent training. Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups as a team and experience in providing staff training and consultation.

    Education:

  • Masters in Speech and Language program or equivalent
  • Proof of CASLPO registration.
  • New graduate / Initial licence holders are welcome.
